What I Have Created & How It Works

AI Funeral Planner — prepared for your review

Hi,

I wanted to share a clear summary of what has been built for the A Fitting Farewell project — what the product is, what it does, and how a family would actually use it. This is the planning experience we discussed: personal, faith-aware, and guided by an AI Funeral Director named Sara.

The product is live and ready for you to try, share with partners, or walk through with test families.

What I Have Created for You

I have built the core planning product — the experience where a family sits down, talks through their wishes, and walks away with a complete farewell plan. Here is what that includes:

01

Sara — Your AI Funeral Director

A warm, intelligent guide who leads the family through planning one question at a time. She listens, remembers, and never rushes.

02

A Complete Farewell Plan

A written plan built from the family's own answers — covering visitation, the service, graveside, reception, and personal tributes.

03

Faith-Aware Planning

When a family shares their faith, the whole experience adapts — Christian, Catholic, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh, or non-religious.

04

Your Planning Knowledge Built In

Your funeral planning databases — traditions, tribute ideas, hobbies, occupations — are integrated so Sara's guidance reflects real expertise.

05

Vendor & Coordination Record

The product captures who the family wants involved — pastor, worship team, caterer, florist — and documents it for the funeral home to arrange.

06

Price Estimate & Funeral Home Handoff

Families see an estimated cost as the plan builds, can adjust it, choose nearby funeral homes, and send the completed plan when ready.

How It Works

When a family opens the planner, this is the journey they go through:

1

They choose their situation. Planning for a recent loss, or planning ahead. Sara opens with the right tone — gentle condolences or warm encouragement.

2

They share their location. So the product can suggest funeral homes in their area and give local pricing context.

3

Sara begins the conversation. She asks about the person being honoured — their name, what made them special, their work, passions, faith, and memories. The family answers naturally or taps suggested responses.

4

The plan builds as they talk. On screen they see six planning sections filling in — and a coordination list showing vendor wishes (pastor, music, catering) as they share them.

5

Sara walks through every part of the farewell. Visitation, the service, graveside, reception, and tributes — one question at a time. She asks about officiant, music, readings, military honours, food, and anything else that matters to this family.

6

They review the complete plan. A full written document: every section, vendor coordination, a run-of-show timeline, and estimated cost. They can adjust pricing before sharing.

7

They send it to funeral homes. They pick one or more nearby funeral homes and send the plan. The funeral home receives everything needed to start coordinating.

The model we agreed on: The family states their wishes in conversation. The product documents them. The funeral home coordinates pastor, caterer, worship team, florist, and cemetery — the family never has to cold-call vendors themselves.

What the Product Can Do

Here is what I have built into this release:

Guide a full planning conversation across six phases — life story, visitation, service, graveside, reception, and tributes
Adapt the entire plan when faith is mentioned — different questions, customs, and traditions for each belief
Remember everything the family already said and never ask twice
Ask about real vendor wishes — who should officiate, who leads music, where to cater, military honours
Connect personal details (hobbies, career, passions) to relevant tribute ideas from your planning library
Offer easy tap-to-answer options so families are not forced to type everything
Produce a complete written plan with vendor list, run-of-show, and cost estimate
Support both immediate-need families and those planning ahead
Work on any phone, tablet, or computer — families just open a link and begin

What the Family Sees on Screen

While they talk with Sara, three areas work together:

The conversation — Sara on the left, guiding them with one question at a time and optional answer chips.

The live plan board — in the centre, six sections show progress (Pending → Discussing → Complete) plus a coordination list for vendor wishes.

The plan summary — on the right, estimated cost, nearby funeral homes, and a growing tribute summary appear once planning begins.

Why This Matters for Your Vision

For families — they get a guide at the hardest moment of their lives. They arrive at the funeral home with a plan, a sense of cost, and clear wishes — not confusion and blank forms.

For funeral homes — they receive a structured plan with vendor wishes and a run-of-show, not a family starting from scratch.

For A Fitting Farewell — this is the product in action. It shows partners and investors exactly what the platform delivers: AI-guided planning, faith-aware personalisation, transparent pricing, and funeral home coordination.

Please try it yourself and share the link with anyone you would like to experience it. I am happy to walk you through it on a call if helpful.
